The weather was perfect for a Christmas eve today. My Christmas eve was spent in KK hospital with mum and dad and some visitors who came to visit mum (: It was far from the one I had in mind. Nonetheless, I think it's one of the awesome-est Christmas eves ever. It was a really heart warming one. Occasional trips to the toilet with mum, watching dad read his news paper by mum's bed side, watching mum sleep, making a new friends with the neighbouring bed's patients, making a million trips downstairs to satisfy my mum's cravings, even just listening to the sound of the rain and singing to Him in the hallways - all these were sufficient to make me contented. I haven't been able to really spend time with mum and dad for like the longest time and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to this Christmas eve (:
These few days have been my happiest few of 2008. No, I did not strike lottery nor did I get a cap 5 for my results. It's just really getting to know God so much more, learning to be thankful for every possible little thing and every single person that crosses my path. I've really so much to thank God for. Joel managed to help me get 7 tickets for my church's musical tmr at the Singapore Conference Hall. And I'm so so happy cos it's almost like a secondary school reunion! I can't wait to see what God's gonna do tmr :D That would be the bestest Christmas gift ever man.
Speaking of gifts, how I wish I had a truckload of money, so I could buy gifts for everyone, so I could buy better gifts for them. That would be so awesome. Hmm, I shall start making it a point to save for Christmas every year! (: Afterall, Christmas is all about giving and loving isn't it? Just like how Jesus gave up everything He had, to come to earth just cos He loved us too much (: Ahhhh, I simply love Christmas to the core. Beyond the beautiful lightings at orchard, beyond the gifts and cards, beyond the hugs and kisses, may we remember the true meaning of christmas. 20 more mins to a Happy-birthday-Jesus (: I'm gonna sing Him a birthday song! Hehe
