Contingents (Worlds) apart

Despite my exams, I haven't exactly stopped my leisure activities. Finding that balance... still. Oops. Haha :) I'm down with 3, left with 1! Which is like next tues. Feels like it's all over already. But anyway, yes, it's been loads of youtubing and more youtubing. Haha. It amazes me how in a matter of one day a video can get like thousands and millions of views but I guess that's the beauty(or not) of the internet? Hah, eww IT1001. Everyone has been on the how outstanding a few contestants have been on Britain's got talent. Ordinary people who have turned into stars overnight thanks to youtube.

It's already unfair that good looking people get further in life. But it seems to me that even the ugly people get further in life! Wah lau. The society allows no room for mediocrity :( Boo. It's like that in movies too. It's either the girls who are incredibly hot or the absolutely detestable obnoxious geeks who get the guys. Oh well.

So anw, after watching the Susan Boyle video several times, I realised- she ain't THAT great what. I mean, not THAT great to earn all the attention she is getting. Shasheen is way better I feel! Personal opinion. (Don't stone me, SB fans. Haha)

But I think we can all arrive at the same point. And that is that Britain's GOT talent. America's GOT idols who sing well and are actually cute (DAVID COOK!). America's GOT top models who are hot and can speak properly. Singapore has... nothing. Nothing close to theirs. I love Singapore but the truth is harsh. We're getting there la... I think? How long more? Lol.
